Versace Resort 2011 Collection

Versace Resort 2011 Collection, Resort fashion trends 2011: Donatella Versace did everything to make her Resort 2011 collection bright and youthful. She used vibrant colors, designed provocative mini skirts and clinging dresses and created oh-so-lovely summery high-boots that remind me gladiators but actually look feminine.Versace Resort 2011 looks very pretty and stylish. Besides, it is rather simple that makes the outits it comprises perfect for daywear and even some for officewear. However, I can’t see any garments that would look appropriate on the red carpet. Yes, I know there are ordinary collections as well as couture ones to serve that purpose, but I’m used to see chic sophicticated dresses in each Versace collection. So, don’t blame me.
The innovative accessory from Versace Resort 2011 range that I’m almost freaking about is a knapsack looky-likey that broke down into four bags. Looks interesting and would be ideal for those ladies who always carry millions of things with them.

Fall Fashion Collection 2010 of Erdem at London fashion show

Fall Fashion Collection 2010 of Erdem at London fashion show: Erdem Moralioglu’s twin sister, Sara, makes TV documentaries about geography and natural history. He’s been looking at her films, watching the survival movie Alive, and thinking, he said, “about Picnic at Hanging Rock: girls surviving on the mountain.
Elegantly, sort of.” Moralioglu quotes these sorts of sources with a wry smile, in the full knowledge that they’re pure fashion whimsy. In practical terms, what it meant was he’d come up with an autumnal palette of brown, ocher, teal, rust, and tan for his prints and coats, and a gray as dirty as a leaden November sky for a lace dress.
The thing about being a designer of pretty dresses is that it takes something a little odd to keep it young and just left of conventional. Sometimes, with Erdem, it’s an overload of sweetness, embroidery, and froth that does it. In this case, it was the color, slightly off and more somber than usual. Though most of the shapes—Moralioglu’s familiar short, stiffly belled skirts and high-necked long gowns—stayed the same, the effects worked well here and there. A cloudy gray tulle dress with bird appliqués and a yellow silk number, its puffed sleeves vertically patterned with autumn leaves, had the kind of slightly weird aura that would turn heads at a cocktail party; and all the long finale dresses had Moralioglu’s signature delicate romance about them. Otherwise, with an eye to the fact that this was an outdoorsy collection, he added a few coats to keep his girls warm in the woods. A neat camel trench with a shearling-lined hood had members of the audience planning personal orders as they struggled out into the rain-swept London streets.

Pre-Fall fashion collection 2010 of Roberto Cavalli at London fashion show

Pre-Fall fashion collection 2010 of Roberto Cavalli at London fashion show: With high-necked lace blouses, jet beading, and funereal black capelets on one hand, and tight little tailored jackets, ribbed leggings, and knee-high boots on the other, Roberto Cavalli’s pre-fall collection felt like an unholy union of Queen Victoria and Pat Benatar.
Unlikely as it sounds, the collection worked best when the two sides met in the same outfit, as they did with a big bat-wing poncho in black cashmere draped with a sable capelet dripping jet (and worn with leggings and ankle boots). The animal prints and the artisanal leatherwork (combined with marmot, astrakhan, and mink in one jacket) echoed the vulgar zest of vintage Cavalli, but it was actually the prim sobriety of vintage Victoriana that left the lasting impression. A strange and somber tack for Cavalli to take.
